State Level Open Chess Tournament
The 19th State Level Open Chess Tournament for the Visually Impaired was organized by National Association for the Blind – Tamil Nadu State Branch (NAB-TNSB).
Pongal Celebration
Pongal was celebrated with great fervour and enthusiasm. Everything was done in the traditional way. The trainees thoroughly enjoyed the festival by decorating the venue, organizing events, participating in competitions, and preparing Pongal together.
White Cane Day
Individuals with visual impairment are referred to NAB-TNSB by District Departments of Differently Abled, hospitals, schools, beneficiaries who received services and other organizations.
World Sight Day
Inclusive education is the order of the day. NAB-TNSB works closes with schools both special and inclusive schools – to provide children with and without disabilities to grow up together.
Employers meet
NAB-TNSB’s vocational program is not just a course where people with visual impairment acquire new skills, but also a holistic program that builds social, interpersonal and communication skills of the trainee.
Car Rally for the Blind
The training given by NAB helps persons with visual impairment to bring about a qualitative change in their lives. With appropriate orientation and training, they can contribute significantly to the family income, thereby bringing a positive change to their self-esteem.
Chess Championship

Program / Workshops
Eye Camps
NAB-TNSB supports eye camps. Individuals are referred to Ophthalmologists in the network. Regular eye drops are provided to students in the inclusive education program.
